About

I have always been interested in overall art, usually it was just painting or drawing. I eventually got involved with photography when my friend got a DSLR camera, and she would take pictures of other people riding their horses or just the horses at her barn. I was interested in the whole idea that you could capture the particular moment you were in and relive it whenever you want. I ended up getting a DSLR camera about two years ago. I would take pictures of people at horse shows and send the photos to them. I ended up taking a class of photography my sophomore year of highschool to learn more about my camera. I wanted to have an in depth understanding of what my camera was capable of doing.

In photography class, we are lucky enough to have programs like Photoshop. I like that not only are we learning how to take photos, but we are also learning to edit photos. Before, when I was taking pictures with not much background knowledge, I would have to look up YouTube tutorials on how to edit photos such as double exposure edits. I am lucky enough to have a condensed version of Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.

I hope that in the future I can have a job that will incorporate the use of a camera. I have always been interested in editing and film. I have been able to get into that more ever since I started editing my school’s news broadcast as a sophomore, but as a junior and senior, I will be able to film and edit it. In the future, I will probably still take pictures, draw, and paint even if it has nothing to do with my job.
